How to save the world

2 minute read

Saving the planet can feel like a pretty daunting task. However, as we reach the midst of COP26, it seems to be an appropriate moment to reflect on this turning point in the history of our species. One of our key missions as a brand has always been to prove what is possible, making the path forward a little less scary for those lagging behind. We can each do this, whether you’re an individual trying your best to improve the world and spread this influence, or a business trying to make more ethical choices.

Think big

It’s fantastic to do the little things that add up but also consider what actions you could take that would have the greatest impact. For example, instead of simply not littering yourself, consider organising a park/street/beach clean up with your community. Not only will this result in a healthier neighbourhood/environment, but it will also likely strengthen your society and encourage a positive cultural change.

Lead by example

When setting up Less Than, we also wanted to think bigger so considered what approach would lead to the greatest possible positive impact on our planet, which lead us to establishing our brand as a business rather than a charity. Although we directly donate to the conservation of each of our species, we believed our greatest opportunity was to set an example to other businesses, by demonstrating the potential for ethical, sustainable, and conscious consumerism. We intend to prove that you can uphold strong ethics, choose environmentally friendly materials/packaging, protect peoples’ wellbeing, give back to causes you care about, and still remain a successful business.

Our desires shape our future

Few would oppose that the traditional systems require rapid and significant change, however, whilst it is important to identify the flaws that exist in the majority of businesses, let’s not forget to also celebrate and support the small and big businesses that are prioritising their values over their profits, making considered ethical choices, and continuously striving to improve. It is this support that will ultimately guide the direction of industries into the future and lead to our desired outcome as a global society. So choose wisely. Learn a little about each of the businesses you support and prioritise those that align with your values. 🌍

I not to mention my pals were actually studying the excellent tips and hints on your web blog and so quickly got a horrible suspicion I had not expressed respect to the web site owner for those secrets. All the people were absolutely thrilled to read through all of them and have now in truth been taking pleasure in them. We appreciate you turning out to be quite helpful and then for considering this sort of beneficial ideas most people are really desperate to discover. My very own sincere apologies for not saying thanks to sooner.
