Sumatran Elephant
<2800
Sumatran Elephant (Elephas maximus ssp. sumatranus) is the subspecies of Asian Elephant, one of two species of elephant in the world.
It is one of the most endangered of all elephants and plays a vital part in contributing to a healthy forest ecosystem through feeding on a variety of plants and seeds. Sumatra has been particularly badly effected by human activity leading to many critically endangered species sharing their habitat such as the Sumatran Rhino, Orangutan and Tiger who all benefit from one another’s presence.
